We have all non the Indian Premier League where teams within India compete with each other for a committed Trophy. Well, it can be happily described that they are against each other in pursuit of winning, they are never each others’ Enemies.
We will have to contemplate about Diwali and crackers in the same fashion as we contemplate about the Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Yes, Diwali is definitely about a lot of crackers. Diwali is about a lot of fun in togetherness. Diwali is also about having a good time, being happy and celebrating, forgetting all the other regular woes of the worldly life!
In all this, let us not also forget that Diwali is also about family time. Diwali is also about sweets and savories. Diwali is also about meeting people whom we have failed to stay in touch for a long time. About everything come up Diwali is also about celebrating the victory of good over evil. We might be thinking of Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya, or Lord Krishna's fight with Narakasura. Anything said we will have to remember that Diwali is not always and not just about crackers alone!
They have also been concerned that have risen Overpollution, both in terms of sound and air. Yes, they might be true to a certain extent. There are also reasons why we will need to have crackers in place. Research has shown that the sulphur gases released by the crackers go on to the clouds and instigates some rainfall which serves to cool down the atmosphere. This is one of the reasons why we always tend to have some rain a couple of days after Diwali.
Diwali might be a Hindu festival, but it is the crackers that unite people from every religion in the name of Diwali being a cultural torch bearer for India. Given the awesomeness with which India handles the concept of Unity and Diversity, religion would be the least of the concerned when it comes to crackers!
In a lot of places in India, there is a practice of the kids in the home being given packets of Sweets and special savories that are sent to the houses of the neighbors and relatives. This one serves as a feature of Diwali to Foster interpersonal relationship that's is very Indian in its nature!
All these Little Things make us think that Diwali is not just about crackers, but about a lot of things that stand with the core aspect of Diwali, which is about the victory of good over evil! Quite literally, Diwali is more than what just meets the eye and the ear!
